This morning, the 2026 Vogue Vintage Market kicked off in downtown New York, showcasing desirable vintage items sourced from eBay and, in many instances, the wardrobes of designers and Vogue‘s friends. At this exclusive, one-day event—hosted by Vogue‘s April cover star, Doja Cat—attendees could discover everything from iconic runway looks (Celine trenches! Chloé horse-print dresses!) to extremely rare footwear and handbags. Outside, the eager shoppers presented their own high-fashion moments: the line to enter the market turned into a full-blown street style showcase, with fashion insiders and enthusiasts alike dressing up in their weekend finest.
VIPs like Emma Chamberlain, Paloma Elsesser, and Shailene Woodley arrived for the exclusive early-access hour at 10 a.m., before the venue opened to the general public with tickets. Some attendees even hired professional line-waiters to ensure early access to the most sought-after items.
Jennifer Meertens, who owns a handbag brand, was the first shopper in line, securing her spot around 8:20 a.m. “This is my second time at the Vogue Vintage Market, and I’m just looking for anything that catches my eye,” she told Vogue. “I’m interested in the long orange-and-blue Miu Miu ’70s coat. Last year, I found a fantastic Michael Kors suit from 2005.”

Johnny Valencia and Priscilla Yael from Pechuga Vintage, for example, flew in from Los Angeles specifically for the event. “I’m hoping to find amazing shoes—I’ve definitely established that I have a shoe fetish,” joked Valencia, who got Marc Jacobs platforms and Tommy Hilfiger boots once worn by Naomi Campbell at last year’s market. “I’m looking for great jewelry, Chanel pieces, Dior tank tops—lots of mesh,” added Yael. “We need to bring all of the hot-girl items back to LA.”
Many shoppers waiting in line showcased striking, eye-catching looks, treating the line like a runway. Fashion student Ellie Warnke arrived in an ensemble sourced entirely from eBay, including a vintage Prada top, turquoise Gucci gloves, a checkered Sandy Liang skirt, and Miu Miu heels. “I came here last year and found a really beautiful Prada dress,” Warnke said. “I’m a big vintage fan. This time, I’m looking for vintage Balenciaga or Dolce & Gabbana—I want to diversify my wardrobe, since I tend to stick to the same brands.”
Ultimately, the Vogue Vintage Market was about more than just shopping; the event also served as a fashion moment to be seen and admired.
