When describing the idea behind Harris’s look, Kamara informed Vogue that “for this monumental evening on the Met celebrating Black tradition and iconicity, we felt simplicity is greatest. Using a mixture of silk fabrications and exact tailoring, we added refined flares, permitting her personal dandyism to shine by means of—just like the dramatic sleeve and elongated scarf.”
