While pop-up plus-size markets such as Thick Thrift in Los Angeles and Pretty Girl Markets in Texas are a significant addition to the vintage and thrift scene, the outdated belief that “people were just smaller in the past!” can still be a barrier when shopping for vintage and second-hand clothing over a size 12. With this challenge in mind, Vogue has compiled a list of 7 of the top plus-size vintage options across the United States.
There are, of course, numerous fantastic size-inclusive online alternatives like Bad Moon Vintage and Goldies Vintage (and real-life locations like Flower Child in Columbus, Ohio, and Moody Goose in San Francisco that have dedicated plus-size sections), but for this list we’re focusing on stores where all or most of the merchandise is plus-size and can be tried on in person.

Just a short walk from Portland’s historic Casco Bay Bridge is Artemis Plus Size Thrift, one of the best places to search for vintage and thrifted treasures on the entire East Coast.
