King Charles and Queen Camilla have embarked on their official state visit, graciously hosted by President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump. The royal couple arrived at Joint Base Andrews in Maryland, commencing the four-day journey, which includes an address to Congress—the initial one since Queen Elizabeth II addressed Congress in 1991.

The event commenced with an intimate tea between King Charles, Queen Camilla, and the Trumps. The First Lady maintained her signature understated, elegant style, donning a pale yellow Adam Lippes skirt suit—a designer of choice—and coordinating snakeskin heels. The color was a delicate variation of a dress she wore during her prior encounter with the Queen, when she visited the U.K. last September, selecting a canary yellow off-the-shoulder gown accented by a soft purple belt. The gentle yellow was complemented by Queen Camilla’s crisp white knee-length dress, embellished with cobalt blue embroidery along the V-neckline.
After Tuesday evening, King Charles and Queen Camilla will journey to New York, where they will pay a visit to the 9/11 Memorial and engage with Mayor Zohran Mamdani before culminating in Virginia for an “America at 250 block party,” in tribute to the nation’s impending anniversary.
